Hello I bet you are reading today to see what i have to say about dishes. I know that this post doesn't really go with my regular type of post but when we cook we make dishes right? If you are anything like me you despise doing the dishes especially after you just cooked a big meal. " if you cooked you don't have to do the dishes that's the law" at least in my household. Sometimes i wish i could just get all disposable kitchenware but that doesn't help our environment at all.
So whats this post about well i just wanted to give some ideas on how to clean your dishes well and how to not hate the chore so much. Lets start with products that i use for my dishes. For soap i prefer dawn dish soap you cant get small ones for $1 at dollar tree I also use a dawn sponge and microfiber towel. If you want to wear gloves I recommend the reusable yellow rubber gloves. Next thing is my dish strainer you can get these fairly cheap from walmart. I find those to be to small to actually hold a decent amount of dishes.
I use this dish strainer and totally love it . The link is posted with the picture its about $45 which i know is crazy but the amount of room you get with it is worth it.
Now that we know the products that we use or at least i use lets get this started finally! In my sink i put a clean shallow bowl and add a few drops of soap and warm to hot water to the half way mark. The reason i do this is because it saves soap and water by only using the clean soap water in the bowl. With sponge in hand i wash my small dishes first the tend to be less dirty ex: cups, spoons, forks and knifes. As you wash dip your sponge into the clean bowl as needed to keep your sponge soapy. Make sure your bowl isn't in the middle of the sink so that way you can use the open space for rinsing. Once finished with your small dishes move onto the big dishes using the same method. If you need clean water go ahead and refill your bowl.
Congrats you finished the dishes saved soap and water and they look amazing! I tend to have music on as i am cleaning to keep me moving. Now to cut dish time down in half i tend to clean any dishes i was using to cook that i am finished with. It also helps to wash dishes as soon as your done with them so nothing sticks to them and your not spending time scrubbing.
Thank you for reading and i know i ended that on a weird track but how much can we really read about washing dishes? I hope to be bringing you more post and hope that you like my different approach on blogging. Have a great one bye-bye.
